I love bouncing ideas off each other with my brother. We come up with some cool concepts. Sometimes he has an idea that isn't fully developed and we'll talk it out and come up with a full-fledged story that I'll write, and other times it's vice versa and he'll do a comic or draw the characters. This story came to being after a late night walking of my dog alongside the Roanoke river. Pete and I talked this outline/plot out, based on a concept that had been floating around in his head for a while. I fleshed it out, and at midnight that night I began typing. When I'd finished, it was 5:00 AM!
A few days later, several edits and read-throughs, and a last minute edition towards the end of the story (that I think really makes it good and worth the read in the end) that I had not planned but came to me as I was driving a printed copy over to my grandmother to read (she enjoys reading my stories and is sometimes the first reader/litmus test as to whether I'm going to post something here) and here we are! A finished story.
Without further ado, I'll leave you to read it!
